Already during my study Culture and Communication I worked as a freelance journalist and editor, with a passion for human interest stories.
While I was traveling, after I got my degree, there were two things that fascinated me: the stories of people and the places and homes they were living in. After more than 10 years of traveling and working in different countries I bought a little red wooden house in Swedish Lapland. From this beautiful place, surrounded by moose, reindeer and bears I write stories about people and life in Lapland. Also, I work as translator German – Dutch and Swedish – Dutch.
Besides writing and storytelling I have another passion; the outdoors. I love to go out with my dog to run, mountainbike or ski through the stunning nature of Lapland. It is a great feeling of freedom to pack my bag and take off for a mountain trip, or to paddle my canoe.
The combination of traveling to beautiful places, meeting fascinating people with inspiring stories, working and writing in my little house and enjoying outdoor life, makes me a happy person!
